Job Summary
Perform MRI scans on patients as ordered by orthopedic physicians, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results. Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images while ensuring comfort and safety, and operate MRI equipment by adjusting settings and monitoring functionality. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and maintaining equipment through cleaning and troubleshooting malfunctions. Follow safety procedures and ACR accreditation standards while communicating effectively with physicians, patients, and team members. Maintain proficiency with electronic medical records systems. Work three days per week from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- ACR Accredited and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI
- Licensed in NYS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and orthopedic anatomy
- Ability to operate MRI machines and related technology effectively and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians, and staff
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality imaging results
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols, including MRI safety standards, infection control, and patient confidentiality
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer software
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 7:00-3:00pm

- Previous experience in an orthopedic or musculoskeletal practice preferred
