Job Summary
The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures according to protocol focusing on patient preparation and care. Key responsibilities include interfacing with patients to obtain medical history, reviewing patient charts for completeness, performing high-quality MRI scans, transferring images for radiological interpretation, and maintaining MRI equipment. Candidates should have a strong foundation in technical skills, ethical conduct, and effective time management. A graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program and current certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
