Job Summary
Performs full range of MR imaging procedures at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center, adhering to MR safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities include venipuncture and injection of contrast media, collaboration with Biomedical Engineering for equipment maintenance, and accurate workflow coordination across RIS/ERS/EMR systems. Provides patient and family information about procedures, supports safe and compliant MRI operations, and ensures correct exam performance and patient laterality. Requires MR certification/credentials and CPR/BLS upon hire; sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available for new full-time hires.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or Certificate in radiologic technology or MRI from an agency accredited by USDE or CHEA
- ARMRIT - Registered MRI Technologist and/or ARRT (MRI) Certification - required within 1 year of hire date
- CPR - BLS/CPR certification upon hire
