MRI Technologist - Cross Training Opportunity!

Job Summary
Conduct MR scanning procedures by operating all aspects of the scanning unit, incorporating extensive knowledge of system computer modalities to transfer images for interpretation. Evaluate screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field and consult with the Radiologist to implement proper scanning protocols. Monitor patient flow, accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies, and perform daily quality control testing, equipment calibrations, and warm-up/shut-down procedures with proper documentation. Advise the Chief Technologist on maintenance needs and respond to office codes to ensure safety. Demonstrate competency with patients across all age categories while completing the required MRI Cross Training program to achieve ARRT registry.
Required Qualifications
- Current or upcoming graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, Ultrasound or accredited MRI program
- Registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Registered ARDMS Technologists must have professional scanning experience for consideration
- Current and valid American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification
- Willingness to receive training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter
- Willingness to complete the MRI Cross Training program in accordance with the Cross Training Agreement
- Willingness to successfully achieve the ARRT MRI registry
- Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
- Patient-focused and team-centered approach to the role
- Commitment to the entire patient experience
- Willingness to work varying shift times Monday-Friday with rotating evenings & weekends
- Willingness to work in the Toms River-Hooper Avenue, Brick, and Wall office locations
