Job Summary
Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician, instructing patients on proper requirements and administering contrast. Ascertain patient symptoms, medical history, and contraindications before exams, ensuring all consent forms are signed. Prepare and position patients, process exam information via computer entry, and maintain a clean, safe environment complying with OSHA and HIPAA. Report equipment malfunctions and document preventative maintenance. Assist with clerical duties, patient record management, and quality assurance monitoring. Full-time and part-time shifts available, including AM and PM rotations. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
- Must be a registered MR technologist
- At least 2 years' experience working as an MRI tech at a hospital or an outpatient setting
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Be able to lift and move patients as sometimes required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with GE 3T
- Experience with Fuji/Hitachi 1.2T high field open
