MRI TECHNOLOGIST

Perform Magnetic Resonance exams to produce diagnostic images of various anatomical parts and systems as directed by radiologists. Collect pertinent patient data, verify identification and physician orders, and ensure proper screening protocols are completed before entering the scan room. Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients, administer contrast agents according to established guidelines, and monitor for adverse reactions while maintaining constant communication. Obtain optimum images, reformat as needed, and send results to PACS for interpretation. Document patient care, exam history, and exceptions in appropriate records and HIS/RIS systems. Maintain equipment in optimum condition, perform daily quality control, and implement downtime procedures to coordinate rescheduling. Respond to emergency calls and facilitate correspondence with scheduling, nursing, and ER departments to accommodate STAT orders.
