Job Summary
Perform MRI exams using Siemens equipment while ensuring patient safety with guard rails, shielding, and monitoring protocols. Administer intravenous contrast via venipuncture and enter accurate electronic data to assist radiologists in study interpretation. Manage on-call rotations with a 60-minute response time and handle holiday or weekend shifts as required. Recognize clinical emergencies that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action to resolve them. Maintain image quality by correctly sending images to PACS and adhering to QC processes to prevent mislabeled films. Provide exceptional customer service while optimizing studies for interpretation in compliance with department policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology program or graduate from an accredited MRI program
- Must obtain ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT certification within one year of hire
- Ability and availability to perform on-call (60 minute response time), holiday, and weekend work when required
- Ability to handle high pressure atmosphere performing sophisticated exams on state of the art equipment
- Basic computer skills

Desired Qualifications
- Previous MRI experience
- Verifiable hours working on MRI machines, Siemens preferred
- Successful completion of Venipuncture training within 6 months of employment
