Job Summary
Operate MRI equipment to achieve high-quality images while screening patients and staff for magnet safety. Perform procedures by positioning patients, selecting coils, and administering contrast materials within scope of practice. Complete imaging studies promptly, charge them appropriately, and coordinate with radiologists for interpretation. Prepare scan rooms using approved cleaning protocols, maintain supplies, and implement emergency procedures as needed. Enter and record all data accurately, perform quality control tasks, and provide clinical instruction to staff and students. Communicate with patients regarding MR safety questionnaires, sedation needs, and exam delays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI
- ARRT registered in MRI
- ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification
- BLS
