Job Summary
Perform medically prescribed MRI procedures under radiologist direction, including patient positioning, IV contrast administration, and equipment setup. Schedule exams in RIS, verify patient identity against requisitions, and obtain formal consent when necessary. Monitor patients for contrast reactions, document begin/complete times in departmental logs, and perform visual quality control checks on imaging equipment. Generate high-quality hard copies, transmit images to PACS, and maintain cleanliness of the radiographic area. Recognize medical emergencies immediately and notify appropriate staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- ARRT Primary Certification/Registration
- New York State License(Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy)
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
