Job Summary
MRI Technologist I operates MRI scanners and related equipment with proficiency per departmental protocols; verifies orders with Radiologist when needed; prepares patients, performs IV contrast administration per protocol, documents on requisitions, and ensures patient safety. Responsible for image quality assessment, correlating clinical history, and communicating findings with radiologists; supports invasive procedures, follows radiation safety and infection control policies, and assists in emergency codes. Requires ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine training, MRI registry eligibility with registry obtained within 1 year, CPR certification, and the ability to work a 36-hour weekly schedule (Mon/Tue 8:00a-8:30p and Thu 6:30a-7:00p) with a sign-on bonus offered and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire; MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required
- CPR certification required
