MRI Technologist

Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures as ordered, escort patients to treatment rooms, and administer IV contrast while explaining procedures to address patient concerns. Assist radiologists with special procedures like arthrograms, operate equipment, and complete all necessary paperwork for timely service delivery. Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report malfunctions to the site manager. Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff. Maintain a professional atmosphere using courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Requires ARRT (R) (MR) certification, Connecticut licensure, and two years of clinical MRI experience. Siemens or GE experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- ARRT (R) (MR) certification
- Connecticut licensure
- Two years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types
