Job Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of routine and advanced MRI procedures while ensuring patient care and safety. Key duties include obtaining and documenting patient information, completing assessments for appropriateness of MRI exams, executing MRI exams with high accuracy, utilizing PACS and RIS systems, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in quality improvement activities. The role requires proficiency in MRI scanners, venipuncture, and the ability to work non-assigned shifts. This position demands physical activity, including moving patients and operating equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AMA approved Radiology Technology Program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with (MR) designation
- Two years experience in a hospital setting
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Cross Sectional Anatomy
- Proficient in Magnet safety
- Good working knowledge of PACS
Additional Requirements
- Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment
