Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and on-demand MRI scans, manage image reconstruction and archiving, and review diagnostic requests for correct anatomy. Explain procedures to patients, ensure safety through screening protocols, and assist with patient transfers using lift devices. Consult with radiologists to apply proper scanning protocols, monitor patient flow, and accommodate unscheduled studies. Perform weekly equipment quality control, calibrations, and report malfunctions, while maintaining daily inventory of medical supplies. Train new employees on AMI equipment and document all procedures using the Radiology Information System.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited MRI program
- Registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT
- Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Willingness to obtain venipuncture certification if not currently trained/certified
- Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written
- Patient-focused and team-centered approach
- Commitment to the entire patient experience
- Must be available for four (4) - ten (10) hour shifts
- Must work in the AMI office locations in Brick and Wall
- Must be available for Rotating Saturdays
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience or certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter
