Job Summary
Conduct independent MRI scans, operating imaging and ancillary equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that shape accurate diagnoses. Position and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety while administering IV contrast and oral medications under strict aseptic protocols. Evaluate images for technical accuracy, adjusting techniques as needed to meet radiologist expectations. Support departmental operations by assisting with QA activities, managing supplies, identifying equipment issues, and training students. Maintain BLS certification with biannual renewal and hold ARRT certification in MRI or equivalent credentials. Work Monday through Friday nights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Join Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan's largest system, to deliver exceptional care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Passed or is eligible for the examination for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI
- Passed the examination for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and remain in good standing
- Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal
- Vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- Receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
