Job Summary
MRI Technologist role (0.9 FTE, Day shift) performing MRI scanning and related imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort, effective communication with radiologists and healthcare team, and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include providing imaging services per Title 17/Title 22, positioning and immobilizing patients, administering IV contrast materials when needed, acquiring and reconstructing images, performing QA on MRI units, maintaining documentation in the EHR/PACS, and contributing to continuous improvement and teamwork within the department. Requires completion of an accredited MRI program, ARRT (R) or ARMRIT certification (and MRI certification within 4 months of hire), plus MRI safety screening. BLS and venipuncture certification are included in the regulatory requirements, with a salary range of $72.13-$91.57 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology (ARRT-R) or ARMRIT and upon hire or within 4 months of hire, registered in MRI (ARRT-MR)
- Must clear MRI safety screening to safely work in Zone IV
- License/Certification/Registration Requirements: ARRT (R) or ARMRIT, ARRT (MR)
