Job Summary
MRI Technologist operates the MRI machine and adjacent equipment to produce/obtain images for diagnostic purposes and assists radiologists in invasive procedures within the MRI suite. Reports to the MRI Lead and Director of Diagnostic Imaging/Interventional Services. Requires ARRT MRI certification or eligibility within 6 months, OBMI licensure, and an associate or bachelor's degree in Radiology. Performs MRI procedures, maintains QA and regulatory compliance, handles history taking, IV start, and contrast administration, maintains patient records in PACS/EMR, and participates in training, safety, and committees. Must be available for call rotation and weekend shifts; capable of working independently and as part of a team in a high-demand hospital imaging environment. Part-time role based in Klamath Falls, Oregon (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiology program
- ARRT registered; with required competencies and certification in MRI, or eligible to sit for certification within 6 months of hire
- Current OBMI licensure and has qualifications and experience determined to be adequate by Director of department and lead technologist to operate equipment and evaluate images obtained
