MRI Technician

Job Summary
Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols while operating and maintaining advanced imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Position patients correctly, explain procedures to ensure comfort, and monitor them during scans to respond promptly to any signs of distress. Follow safety guidelines to protect patients and staff from magnetic field exposure, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate diagnoses. Uphold patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care. ARRT (MR) certification and one year of MRI experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology from an accredited program
- ARRT (MR) certification required (or registry eligible with plan to complete certification)
- Current state licensure (if applicable)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of MRI technology, safety protocols, and imaging principles
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of MRI Tech experience (preferred; new grads may be considered)
