MRI Technician

Job Summary
Perform MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Position patients correctly, explain procedures to ensure comfort, and monitor them during scans to respond promptly to distress. Operate and maintain imaging equipment while following safety guidelines to protect staff from magnetic field exposure. Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate diagnoses. Uphold patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care. Requires ARRT (MR) certification, BLS/CPR, and one year of MRI experience. Schedule includes Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday shifts from 9am to 9:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology from an accredited program
- ARRT (MR) certification required (or registry eligible with plan to complete certification)
- Current state licensure (if applicable)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of MRI technology, safety protocols, and imaging principles
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of MRI Tech experience (preferred; new grads may be considered)
