Job Summary
Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) while maintaining knowledge of all equipment currently in use. Assist patients and physicians as needed, keeping informed of new scanning techniques and technology. Train technical staff on protocols and post-processing techniques. Requires A.R.R.T. certification with a Florida Radiographer License or ARMRIT certification, plus BLS certification. One to two years in computerized imaging is necessary, with an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational Training
- Graduate from Radiologic Technology School
- Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients
- A.R.R.T. certification with Florida Radiographer License
- ARMRIT certification MRI Certification
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- One to two years in computerized imaging
- Graduate of a post-secondary MRI certification program
