Job Summary
Assist in performing MRI scans under the supervision of licensed technologists, preparing patients for imaging and ensuring their comfort. Support MRI operations by positioning patients, conducting scan preparation, and adhering to safety protocols while learning techniques for head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, and breast imaging. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records to ensure compliance with hospital policies. Participate in training sessions and coursework as part of an accredited MRI program, demonstrating strong communication skills for a patient-centered approach.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Certification in Radiology
- Currently enrolled in an accredited MRI technologist training program
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Must meet all health and safety requirements for clinical training
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in medical imaging and patient-centered care
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
