Job Summary
Perform highly accurate magnetic resonance imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Educate and prepare patients for procedures with pre-screening and clear communication while strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols. Ensure data integrity by promptly submitting images and documents to PACS; manage patient records and imaging data via EMR/PACS for seamless information flow. Maintain imaging equipment through regular checks and report malfunctions to technical support. 2+ years MRI imaging experience preferred. Licensure/certification requirements include BLS within 30 days of hire and ARRT/MRI or equivalent credentialing; ARDMS/ARMRIT/NRNMCTB credentials may be required or preferred depending on role scope.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date
- NMTCB credential or ARRT credential in MRI or related radiologic tech credentials
- ARRT MRI credential or related radiology/nuclear medicine/sonography credentials
- ARDMS credential in diagnostic medical sonography preferred
- Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program preferred for General Practice
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
