Job Summary
The MRI Tech position involves following proper policies and protocols to ensure patient safety during MRI scans, including positioning patients comfortably and maintaining visual and verbal contact. Responsibilities include administering contrast, completing patient data forms, reporting to the Radiologist, and assisting with clerical tasks as necessary. Candidates must possess prior MRI scanning experience and necessary certifications, including MRI, ARRT, and CPR. Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to accommodate physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Prior MRI scanning experience
- MRI certification
- ARRT certification
- CPR certification
- ARMRIT certification (accepted at some locations)
- Ability to follow medical protocols and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Fantastic interpersonal skills
- Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties
Additional Requirements
- Some inpatient locations may require participation in a call schedule/rotation
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
