MRI Tech Part-Time Days

Job Summary

Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to MRI safety principles. Assess patient conditions, age-specific needs, and physical condition; provide instructions to achieve cooperation and desired results. Position patients, equipment, and devices to achieve high-quality images, then assess diagnostic images for technical quality and proper annotation. Administer contrast medication with or without power injectors, perform venipuncture for IV access, and manage adverse reactions or emergencies. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, ensure equipment safety, and provide patient transport. Assist in supervising student technologists and training new staff. Utilize corporate radiology computer systems effectively and comply with all state, federal, and Baptist Health policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Graduate of accredited school of Sonography
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
  • Graduate of an approved MRI technologist program through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
  • Valid American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
