Job Summary

Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes; interview patients, verify safety and contraindications, position patients, monitor comfort, communicate with patients, perform studies per Radiologist/Physician requests, review image quality, gain IV access and perform injections as needed, verify patient data, input scan parameters, utilize RIS and PACS, create Viewer and DICOM CDs, import external CDs, maintain MR safety, and collaborate in team settings; flexible attendance for trainings and meetings; typical schedule Monday–Friday 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 32-40 hours/week; location Royal Oak, MI.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from a JRCERT accredited college or technical school
  • One-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in MRI or Associate in Applied Science and ARRT registered MRI Technologist
  • If not registered in MRI, must pass ARRT advanced level certification exam within one (1) year of position start date
  • Continuing education in accordance with the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan. Certification in CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens
