Job Summary
MRI Technologist II role operating MRI equipment to perform radiologic procedures for patients, ensuring safe, high-quality imaging and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include planning and executing imaging studies, supervising and teaching student technologists, promoting professional radiology practices, managing supplies and equipment, and providing excellent patient service. Requires 1-3 years MRI experience, ARRT MRI registration, BLS, and a technical Radiology degree or diploma; must adapt imaging protocols to patient needs and collaborate with radiology team to maintain quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology
- MRI Tech 1-3 years experience
- BLS - American Heart Association
- Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging - ARRT
- Demonstrated clinical competencies in radiology imaging equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of RIS, HIS, and PACS (preferred)
- Ability to relate and communicate with internal and external customers
- No supervisory role; may instruct student technologists
