MRI Radiology Scrub Technologist (R.T.(R) or MR) - Operating Room (OR) – Senior

Job Summary
Prepare patients and equipment for interventional and surgical MRI procedures, performing studies independently across a variety of OR cases. Support the team in improving patient experience and employee engagement while overseeing department quality assurance programs. Mentor new employees and clinical students under the direction of the Clinical Instructor. This Senior MRI Technologist role includes 3 days per week at 12-hour shifts with no call, featuring training for 5 days per week for approximately 3 months before transitioning to the rotating schedule. Work within a safety-sensitive environment using Siemens MRI machines at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where you will collaborate with world-renowned surgeons and radiologists.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) and/or MR
- 2 years' experience
- MRI and/or OR experience (preferred)
- Experienced MRI Technologists welcome to apply!!!
- Siemens MRI Machines
- Training for position will be on day shift at 5 days per week for about 3 months before moving to the 3 days per week rotating schedule
- Performs all responsibilities of a Advanced Modality Technologist
- Assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their absence
- Senior Advance Modality Technologist must have 3 or more responsibilities within the following categories: hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship
- Performs all responsibilities under the direction of lead/charge of advanced modality technologist
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
