MRI Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist

Job Summary
Operate an MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images by preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and administering contrast media within scope. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, education, and data entry while ensuring high-quality image submission to PACS with correct markers. Monitor equipment function, report malfunctions, and maintain a clean, orderly department including procedure rooms and storage areas. Work in a constant state of alertness to distinguish body sounds and alarms. Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data/history. Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology/ MRI program
- MRI credential from ARMRIT or ARRT within 12 months of hire date
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
