MRI Fusion Technician

Job Summary

Operate MRI-ultrasound fusion platforms to support targeted prostate biopsies and urological procedures. Prepare, calibrate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment and biopsy tracking systems while ensuring infection control. Import and align diagnostic MRI images in fusion software, including segmentation as needed. Partner with physicians, radiologists, and surgical teams to maintain procedure efficiency and accuracy. Maintain procedure documentation, QA checks, and required logs. Transport MRI Fusion equipment to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, providing technical assistance during procedures. Communicate proactively with scheduling teams and support staff training. Requires CPR certification, at least one year of OR patient and physician support experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times daily. Weekend and holiday work may be required. Paid training offered for qualified candidates with relevant healthcare experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR certification (must be current and maintained)
  • At least 1 year experience providing patient & physician support in an OR setting
  • Ability to meet hospital requirements for operating room access (including annual TB screening and any facility-mandated requirements)
  • HIPAA training compliance and completion of required company regulatory courses
  • Moderate computer skills and comfort working with imaging/software platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive situations professionally with patients, families, physicians, and staff
  • Ability to maintain and provide any required state license(s) as applicable by law/operational needs
  • May be required to hold a Commercial Driver's License (where required) and must maintain a safe driving record
