MRE Technician (Production) HAMR

Job Summary
The MRE Engineering Technician is responsible for executing DET Guzik and QMT testing activities, supporting production and engineering operations through accurate data collection, analysis, troubleshooting, and tester buyoff. This role ensures test quality, equipment readiness, and timely data reporting to support continuous manufacturing performance and quality improvement. Duties include performing DET Guzik and QMT tests, compiling/uploading test data to Online SPC to meet Test TAT, conducting tester conversion buyoff and head changes, supporting data packages for NPI/SMO/Time Slice, managing reference and head issuance, inventory, and screening activities, and maintaining 7S lab standards while adhering to safety regulations. The position operates in a cleanroom environment on rotating 12-hour shifts, with cross-plant support as required. Proficiency in MS Windows software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and strong teamwork/communication skills are emphasized; experience with sputter/MRE metrology tools and magnetic materials used in HDDs is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Technical cert, SPM or equivalent
- 1-2 Years working experience in manufacturing environment with machine operation, data collection & analytical skills are preferred.
