Job Summary
Lead Systems Engineer activities for NASA’s HSMD Moonbase program at Marshall Space Flight Center, including leading requirements development, management, decomposition, and traceability; coordinating verification planning and integration with NASA, international partners, and stakeholders; developing and maintaining verification strategies, plans, and documentation; coordinating joint verification with international partners; and leading technical working groups across engineering teams, customers, contractors, and partners to ensure sound, traceable, and executable requirements across the program lifecycle. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 20+ years of aerospace systems experience or MS with 18+ years, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams; prior experience with requirements management tools (DOORs, DOORS Next Gen, Jama) and familiarity with systems engineering standards and lifecycle processes; travel within the United States and office-based work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- minimum of 20 years of direct engineering experience or MS degree with 18 years’ experience
- experience with requirements management and verification activities
- experience leading technical teams and coordination across organizations
- experience with DOORs or Jama or similar tools
- ability to travel domestically (5%)
- U.S. Citizenship proof required
