Job Summary
MPD Application Engineer responsible for the technical and commercial success of assigned customer accounts; leads design and simulation of assigned jobs, provides pre-job technical reviews and post-job reports, and supports field execution. Identifies upsell opportunities, ensures contract compliance, and collaborates with Operations, BD, and Supply Chain to deliver seamless service. Maintains highest standards of safety, quality, and governance; actively improves health, safety, security and environment practices; accountable for accurate forecasting of revenue and costs, and maximizing commercial return through upselling and bundling opportunities. Requires strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders and proficiency in design/modelling tools (Victus, Drillbench). Travel up to 10% (primarily domestic with potential international travel).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of experience in managed pressure drilling product operations.
- Proven customer-facing experience with direct accountability for scopes.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue/cost forecasting.
- Proficiency with design and modelling tools (Victus, Drillbench).
- Strong technical design and simulation capability.
- Strong project management skills.
- Commercial awareness and accountability for financial outcomes.
- Customer relationship management skills with ability to influence and upsell.
- Effective communicator, capable of presenting confidently to customers.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
