MPAS Program Principal Faculty – Mercy College

Principal Faculty for the MPAS Program designs, develops, and delivers didactic, clinical, and/or laboratory instruction for the PA program under the direction of the MPAS Program Director. Responsibilities include managing assigned courses, student assessment and academic counseling, and ensuring remedial instruction is available. Contributes to accreditation-related activities (ARC-PA) and institutional effectiveness through peer, self, and course reviews, curriculum design, implementation, coordination, evaluation, and program assessment. Promotes the PA program and profession to prospective students and participates in admissions; stays current with trends in the discipline through professional development and scholarly activities; engages in college/community service as assigned; and supports program mission, goals, and outcomes. Requires effective English communication, ability to use educational technology, and flexibility to meet division needs. Education and licensure requirements include a graduate degree (Masters); preferred eligibility for post-graduate training and PA licensure in Ohio; teaching experience in PA/medical education is an asset.
