Job Summary
MP&P Engineer on 2nd shift at Boeing’s Mesa, AZ Composite Materials Fabrication Site. Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods; perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for material and process issues; create and execute test plans, write reports, and contribute to specifications for materials, tools, and processes; coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Procurement; travel to suppliers as needed; on-site 100% with roles split between office, lab, and production floor; ensure regulatory and contractual compliance and promote LEAN and EHS principles; may advance toward technical leadership or management. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent), 1+ years of engineering experience, ability to work full-time 2nd shift, U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. Preference for experience with composites, polymer chemistry analytical techniques, and knowledge of epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide systems, and failure analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years of engineering experience
- Ability to work full-time on 2nd shift
- Able to travel to suppliers as needed
- U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain required clearance
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
