MP&A Specialist

Manages the placement and tracking of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of merchandise to Distribution Centers in support of Department Inventory Management strategies. Oversees the purchase order process, writing, maintaining, editing, and tracking POs to achieve Open to Buy targets. Supports DC-to-store and DC-to-E-Commerce allocation processes as needed, collaborates with Merchandising to maintain appropriate inventory for ad merchandise, and tracks in-stock reporting for core items, shops, guidelines, and promotional events. Reviews department sales trends with Planners and Analysts to sustain in-stock and smooth merchandise flow. Secures vendor/agent acknowledgement of orders via web forms and provides ad hoc reporting to the inventory management team. Manages vendor compliance logs with the inventory planner and merchants. Serves as key point of contact with vendors/agents regarding purchase orders and reviews locked SKU reports. Participates in company initiatives and cross-functional meetings, contributes input on inventory management strategies, and collaborates with peers to balance workloads and share best practices. Hybrid work location involves up to 3 days per week at the Alameda, CA Home Office.
