Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive orthopedic and movement assessments to develop individualized rehabilitation plans based on patient goals and clinical findings. Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions that improve mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, and functional performance while monitoring progress to adjust treatment strategies. Educate patients on injury prevention, body mechanics, wellness, and home exercise programs, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation meeting regulatory and payer requirements, support quality improvement initiatives, and participate in continuing education activities. Work onsite in Wilmington, Delaware, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in Delaware or eligibility to obtain Delaware licensure before employment
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited Physical Therapy degree
- Strong orthopedic rehabilitation evaluation and treatment skills
- Excellent clinical reasoning and patient education abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently manage patient caseloads while working collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Must currently reside within commuting distance of Wilmington, Delaware, or be prepared to relocate independently before employment

- Holds an active Delaware Physical Therapist license or is eligible for Delaware licensure
- Demonstrates strong orthopedic rehabilitation knowledge and clinical decision-making

- No active Delaware Physical Therapist license or inability to obtain Delaware licensure
- Limited orthopedic rehabilitation knowledge or clinical experience
- Poor communication or patient interaction skills
- Inability to work independently while collaborating within an outpatient clinical team

- Applicants who do not currently reside within commuting distance of Wilmington, Delaware, or cannot relocate independently

Desired Qualifications
- Previous outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation experience
- New graduates with strong orthopedic clinical rotations
- Experience treating post-surgical orthopedic patients and musculoskeletal injuries
- Manual therapy, dry needling, or orthopedic specialty certifications
- Knowledge of Medicare documentation and rehabilitation compliance
- Experience implementing return-to-function rehabilitation programs
- Stable employment history demonstrating continued professional growth
- Previous outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation experience
- Strong manual therapy and functional movement assessment skills
- Experience treating post-operative orthopedic and sports-related injuries
- Excellent patient engagement with measurable functional outcomes
- Advanced orthopedic certifications or specialized rehabilitation training
