Move-In Coordinator

Job Summary

Coordinate resident move-in processes, including taking inquiry calls from hospitals and families to schedule appointments, present model rooms, and close tours. Manage unit availability and collaborate with Nursing and Environmental Services on unit selection while ensuring all resident files comply with Indiana Rental Housing Tax Credit Program guidelines. Process and verify income and asset information for move-ins and annual recertifications, submit required reports to IHCDA, and maintain current compliance certifications. Actively participate in daily morning meetings to alert staff of projected move-ins and fulfill assigned duties in the quarterly marketing plan. Requires flexibility for evening and weekend on-call responsibilities, valid driver's license, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Qualifications

  • Must meet the state's licensing requirements for the class of the vehicle being operated and have a valid license
  • Established experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hold current compliance certifications with IHCDA
  • Proven, solid knowledge of the various IHCDA programs
  • Ability to utilize a detail-oriented approach to compliance
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software application for compliance, as well as established experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance, and to be flexible in work time; scheduling occasional evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Availability for weekend on-call responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings, as admission activity dictates

Desired Qualifications

  • Education or previous experience in the healthcare field is desirable
  • Has knowledge of and special sensitivity to the needs of the aging
  • Projects a confident, creditable professional image
  • Able to communicate effectively with potential residents and family members
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement programs from payer sources and managed care referral processes
  • Ability to understand advertising, collateral material design/layout/production is desirable
  • Is a good listener and demonstrates empathy toward others
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to form working relationships with multiple and varied people and organizations and can relate professionally with all levels of facility staff
  • Demonstrate self-confidence and creativity
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to present a well-groomed, confident, and creditable professional image at all times
