Job Summary
Move Crew BC responsible for performing mining support duties in underground coal operations, including shoveling, rock dusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, pumping, and roadway maintenance. Will fill in on sections as needed and perform other duties to maintain outby areas in efficient operating condition, while adhering to site safety requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Underground coal miner's certificate
- Annual 16-hour retraining and/or appropriate training
- Task training
- Knowledge of Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations
- General knowledge of mining support activities (rock dusting, timbering, brattice work, ventilation, pumps, etc.)
- Skill with hand tools
