Job Summary
Entry-level civil/structural engineer, Mechanicsburg/Philadelphia offices, hybrid work environment. Responsibilities include performing limited structural analysis and design of standard bridge components under guidance, reviewing calculations, developing details using CAD, preparing project documents, conducting on-site assessments, and supporting design reports and contract plans. Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- MS in Civil Engineering preferred
- EI certification (or in process)
- Coursework in Bridge Design, Structural Steel Design, Reinforced Concrete Design, Finite Element Modeling
- Basic knowledge of CAD
- Ability to use standard engineering analysis software
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members
- Review and check standard structural design calculations; perform limited structural analysis and design of standard bridge components
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software; provide information to CAD technicians for contract plans
- Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence
- Perform quantity take-offs and review basic structural drawings and shop drawings
- Authorized to work in the United States
