Job Summary
Lead daily Ski & Ride School operations across assigned base areas, conducting safety briefings and making real-time decisions on staffing, lesson flow, and terrain usage. Supervise 40–150 instructors and support staff by scheduling assignments, coaching performance, and managing disciplinary actions. Serve as the primary escalation point for guest service issues while balancing safety and experience, and enforce zone ownership standards for signage and fencing. Assist with limited lesson teaching, lift operation, and snow removal as needed. This 6-month winter role (Dec 2026–May 2027) requires an advanced skier/snowboarder with at least two years of sport instruction experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Ski, Snowboard, or Mountain Bike certification
- At least 2 years of sport instruction
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- PSIA/AASI Level 1 or equivalent
- Level 2 PSIA/AASI or equivalent
- Child Development background
- Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
- RTP Point of Sale knowledge
- ADP knowledge
- Able to ski or ride at an advanced level
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Able to be physically capable of being on skis or a snowboard and wear ski or snowboard boots for the entire day
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Extremely patient
- High level of organizational skill
- Able to work overtime during our busiest holidays and weekends
- Must be physically capable of shoveling snow
- Must be physically capable of walking on steep and uneven surfaces
- Minimum Age Requirement: 18+
