Job Summary
Standby-assist with all activities of daily living for a client, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, and meal preparation. Accompany the patient on errands or medical appointments while performing light housekeeping tasks. Provide patient-specific care such as hospice supportive care, medication reminders, range of motion exercises, blood glucose monitoring, and incontinence care. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts as needed. Flexible scheduling with weekend shift differential and weekly pay available.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform personal hygiene assistance
- Ability to assist with ambulation and transfers
- Ability to assist with dressing
- Ability to prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Ability to accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to assist with blood glucose monitoring
