Motorsports Electronics Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Collaborate with multiple GM groups to design, develop, test, and support electronic systems for vehicle functionality and performance across sports car racing programs. Perform electronic system integration and tests on and off car through simulation track and bench testing, while managing a dynamic workload to ensure race teams perform at the highest level. Travel domestically to client sites to develop and support electronic systems including hardware, software, and tools, and embed with a Sports Car racing team to act as a communication conduit. Utilize virtual development environments including SiL, HiL, and DiL, and find and solve issue root causes in high stress environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Motorsports Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
- Three (3) years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related occupation
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Automotive Electronic systems including CAN ethernet electrical architecture and telemetry
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Automotive electronics
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Document customer requirements, identify methods to integrate into existing framework translate into functional solutions, and validate changes
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Utilize test methodologies and environments including software in the loop (SiL), hardware in the loop (HiL)
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Finding and solving issue root causes especially in high stress environments
- Three (3) years of experience in the following: Project management including issue triage and management
- Must be able to report to local office
- 40% travel to client sites domestically
