Job Summary

Greet customers promptly, answer telephones, and provide accurate information regarding motor vehicle policies, procedures, and Colorado statutes. Process titles, registrations, and validation tabs while maintaining strict confidentiality of all records. Execute cash handling procedures, balance drawers, and process checks or credit card payments. Enter data into computer systems, search databases, and compose clear written communication. Complete basic office housekeeping, file records, and research legal documents using State resources. May provide office support for the Department Head/Official and Deputy.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of administrative and customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must obtain State certification within one year of hire
  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and office equipment
  • Fine motor skills for typing, clicking, and manipulating documents
  • Clear vision for reading printed and on-screen materials
  • Adequate hearing to engage in conversations and respond to telephone calls
  • Ability to maintain focus, productivity, and attention to detail while working at a desk for standard office hours
  • Ability to work out of the Glenwood Springs location and/or the Rifle location
  • Ability to travel between both locations during the work day
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check including Criminal Background Check, Employment Verification, and Motor Vehicle Record Check
