Job Summary
Motor Claims Handler for Fleet and Specialist products; responsible for managing a portfolio of motor claims from indemnity validation, liability assessment, and fraud checks through settlement. Duties include establishing exposure with claimants, accurate quantum assessment, engaging in interventions to minimise indemnity spend, proactive diary management, reserving in line with guidelines, and portfolio/file management. Includes coaching/mentoring of junior handlers and collaboration with in-house motor engineers. Requires PI and/or credit hire claims experience, knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules, and experience with Injury claims outside the Low Value PI portal. Hybrid role based in Liverpool or Sevenoaks with UK-based, in-person working arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Significant PI and/or credit hire claims experience
- experience handling Injury claims outside of the Low Value Personal Injury claims Portal
- strong communication and relationship management skills
- ability to use own initiative and prioritize
- team-oriented and mentoring capabilities
- knowledge of Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules
- awareness of hourly rate costs
