Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of over 150 motor claims from first notification through to settlement, conducting liability investigations, negotiating outcomes, and ensuring fair resolution for both first-party and third-party cases. Investigate claims, assess liability, and make informed decisions while engaging with customers, third parties, and suppliers to achieve defined quality and closure targets. Handle customer complaints and maintain high accuracy when reviewing documentation and maintaining records. Work within a supportive team to deliver excellent claims service and positive claim outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Motor Claims & FNOL Experience – Previous experience within a motor claims environment, ideally handling First Notification of Loss (FNOL) claims, with a strong understanding of motor claims processes and classifications
- Commercial APA qualification in Insurance (or higher)
- Knowledge of motor insurance policies, claims handling procedures and industry best practice, with an understanding of quantum and market agreements/developments
- Strong analytical, numerical and judgement skills, with the ability to investigate claims, assess liability and make informed decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of achieving fair claim outcomes and positively influencing stakeholders
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing documentation, assessing claims and maintaining records
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing business needs
- Previous complaints-handling experience, particularly if you have an understanding of CPC requirements
