Job Summary
Operate robots to produce welded assemblies, including incidental maintenance like cone/tip cleaning, weld wire replacement, and machine area cleaning. Load parts using agreed-upon sequences, identify good or bad welds, and inform the editor of defects to make changes. Maintain accurate day-to-day maintenance logs of robot operation and keep good housekeeping practices. Perform minor weld touch-ups and accurately job off using current processes. Submit various reports and data collection including FTQ, work gen, and scrap reports. Stand and walk up to eight hours per day in a fast-paced welding environment while performing repetitive upper extremity tasks.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Have a basic knowledge of computers
- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat
- Stand and walk up to eight hours per day and reach overhead continuously
- Use air/power/vibrating tools
- do strong, pincher gripping
- Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles
- Repetitive use of upper extremities
- It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to twelve hours a day
- Must be able to touch up welds that need minor repairs
- Must be able to accurately job off using current process
- Good communication skills
- Must maintain the Polaris Values
- Must be able to attend the customized training program for candidates seeking employment with Polaris
