Job Summary
Edit complete educational and instructional videos using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, combining voiceovers, live-action footage, motion graphics, and diagrams into cohesive final outputs. Adapt 2D motion graphics to established templates and brand standards while synchronizing animation with recorded audio. Manage revisions and versioning for up to three simultaneous projects, conducting quality-control reviews to identify visual errors, timing issues, or audio-sync problems. Collaborate with a remote production team via Frame.io, Slack, and ClickUp, attending daily huddles at 9:30 a.m. Central Time and applying detailed feedback promptly. Maintain organized file structures and upload large assets through Google Drive.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of professional experience in motion graphics, video editing, animation, or a related field
- A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating relevant motion-graphics and video-editing work
- Strong professional proficiency in Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Demonstrated expertise in 2D motion graphics, animation, and visual design
- Strong keyframing, timing, transitions, pacing, and spatial-composition skills
- Experience editing live-action footage and integrating it with motion graphics
- Experience producing complete videos rather than only individual animation sequences
- Ability to interpret and execute completed scripts and storyboards
- Ability to work efficiently within established templates, visual styles, and brand guidelines
- Strong attention to visual and technical detail
- Ability to manage up to three videos at different stages of production
- Ability to incorporate detailed feedback accurately and complete revisions promptly
- Strong organizational and file-management skills
- Clear written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote production team
- Reliable high-speed internet capable of uploading and downloading large video and project files
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with architectural, engineering, construction, or built-environment content
- Experience illustrating or animating buildings, floor plans, diagrams, objects, or technical processes
- Experience producing educational, instructional, or technical video content
- Experience working on videos approximately 10 minutes or longer
- Experience visualizing complex concepts through motion design
- Experience incorporating basic 3D objects into motion-graphics projects
- Experience working with Frame.io, Slack, Google Drive, and ClickUp
- Experience collaborating with art directors and distributed production teams
