Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator at ATSU-MOSDOH provides care coordination to improve the patient population's oral health. Responsibilities include communicating treatment plans and payment options, contacting patients, identifying transportation needs and resources, identifying oral and overall health resources for patients, collaborating with dentists, dental students, staff, and outside organizations, ensuring patient satisfaction, verifying insurance, maintaining an organized system for tracking and follow-up, and compiling reports as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year college certificate or equivalency required
- 3 years experience in medical or dental office management
- Knowledge of dental billing & dental insurance
- Good written and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to function independently
