Job Summary
Mortgage Specialist at BMO in Sault Ste Marie, ON. Responsible for cultivating and managing a referral network to build a pipeline of mortgage business, actively identifying sales opportunities, guiding customers through mortgage applications and processing, and partnering with branch teams to ensure proper hand-offs and compliant closing. Develops and executes marketing and cross-sell programs, delivers exceptional customer service, stays abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements, and supports strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- Typically require post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of relevant mortgage or banking experience
- Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements
- Ability to identify and cultivate referral sources and manage relationships
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights for mortgage origination and financing strategies
