Job Summary
Mortgage Specialist at BMO responsible for cultivating and managing a referral network to build a pipeline of mortgage originations, identifying sales opportunities, and guiding customers through mortgage applications and processing. Develops and executes marketing and sales programs to drive business results, collaborates with branch teams, delivers exceptional customer service, and ensures regulatory compliance. Builds community presence through trade shows and events, seeks cross-sell opportunities, and supports strategic initiatives while maintaining documentation in internal systems and delivering timely, accurate transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience
- post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience
- understanding of mortgage lending process
- strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills
- knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management
- ability to analyze data and provide insights
- verbal & written communication skills, collaboration & team skills, analytical and problem solving skills, influence skills
