Job Summary
The Mortgage Servicer II is the first point of contact for existing Desert Financial Mortgage Loans, assisting members, credit union staff, and 3rd party vendors via phone, email, and internal systems with post-funding activities. Responsibilities include processing loan-related transactions (payments, payoffs, loss drafts, escrow administration, lien perfection, regulatory notices, ARM notices), onboarding new mortgage loans into servicing systems, generating annual regulatory notices for escrow analysis and mortgage insurance, monitoring hazard/flood insurance to meet regulatory requirements, handling inquiries via iService, KeyInsight Opportunities, and email, and ensuring procedures and quality standards are met. The role requires high attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to respond within 24 hours. EEO/AA employer; benefits information available at the company careers page.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years Prior experience servicing Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loans required
- 2+ years Related servicing or lending experience required
- Knowledge of mortgage loan products, rules and regulations required
- Knowledge of lending products including purchases and refinances of various collateral required
- Knowledge of Mortgage systems (Keystone, OnBase) and FNMA Servicing Guide preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) required
